  • 16 Oct 2026

A closing ceremony for the "Third Volunteer Internship Programme", organised on the initiative of the Career and Training Centre of Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), was held at the university. The programme covered the spring semester of the 2025–2026 academic year and provided students with practical experience across the university’s administrative units, faculties, and departments.

Throughout the programme, volunteers participated in the activities of various administrative units, faculties, and academic departments, gaining first-hand insight into the university’s organisational structure and day-to-day operations. Each volunteer was assigned to a specific administrative unit, where they worked under its supervision and became familiar with its responsibilities, working procedures, and organisational processes.

Delivering the opening remarks, BAAU Rector Associate Professor Səyavuş Qasımov emphasised the importance of the programme, noting that it makes a significant contribution to helping students apply their academic knowledge in practical settings, develop professional skills, and become better prepared to enter the labour market. He also highlighted that implementing student-centred initiatives remains one of the university’s priorities.

Following the opening remarks, programme participants shared their experiences and reflected on the knowledge and skills they had acquired during the internship, highlighting the development of teamwork, a sense of responsibility, and organisational skills.

The participants noted that the programme had made a valuable contribution to their personal development and the formation of their professional outlook.

At the conclusion of the event, certificates were presented to the participants who had successfully completed the Third Volunteer Internship Programme. The ceremony concluded with a commemorative group photo.

The initiative supports SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, particularly by enhancing students’ professional competencies, practical experience, and employability, thereby facilitating their transition from higher education to the labour market.

The programme also contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education, by complementing academic learning with practical experience and promoting skills development. Furthermore, by engaging students across the university’s administrative units, faculties, and academic departments, the initiative fosters collaboration and a shared commitment to student development, in line with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
