Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) and Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) of Türkiye have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening academic and scientific collaboration between the two higher education institutions.

The memorandum was signed in Ankara by BAAU Rector Associate Professor Səyavuş Qasımov and AYBU Rector Professor Ali Cengiz Köseoğlu during an official meeting. Associate Professor Sevda Rzayeva, Vice-Rector for International Relations at BAAU, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing inter-university cooperation, opportunities for joint scientific research, academic mobility, and participation in international projects.

Under the signed memorandum, the two universities will cooperate in student, academic staff, and administrative staff exchanges; conducting joint research; sharing scientific publications and expertise; and organizing joint conferences, seminars, and symposia. The agreement also provides for the development of joint projects, training opportunities for academic staff, and expanded internship opportunities for students.

BAAU Rector Associate Professor Səyavuş Qasımov described the signing of the memorandum as an important step towards strengthening inter-university relations. He expressed confidence that the agreement would create new opportunities to make effective use of the academic potential of both institutions, implement joint scientific initiatives, and further expand BAAU’s cooperation with Turkish universities.

The cooperation framework aligns with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by establishing a basis for stronger international institutional partnerships and is also relevant to SDG 4 (Quality Education) through its focus on academic mobility, knowledge exchange, and future joint educational and research activities.
