An event held in Izmir within the framework of BAAU’s “Anatolia–Caucasus Vision Bridge” project

Within the framework of the “Anatolia–Caucasus Vision Bridge” project, an event was held in Izmir, Türkiye, jointly organized by Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku City Main Department of Youth and Sports, the National Assembly of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Izmir Institute of Technology.

The event was attended by BAAU Rector Assoc. Prof. Sayavush Gasimov, Vice-Rector for International Relations Assoc. Prof. Sevda Rzayeva, as well as representatives of various governmental and educational institutions from Azerbaijan and Türkiye.

In his speech, Rector Assoc. Prof. Seyavush Gasimov highlighted the successful activities of Baku Eurasian University, its dynamic participation in regional and international initiatives, and the university’s commitment to promoting youth cooperation, cultural dialogue, and sustainable development. He noted that the project aims to foster joint exchange programs between the youth of the two brotherly nations, as well as to organize cultural and social initiatives that strengthen mutual understanding and regional partnership.

Rector Gasimov also emphasized BAAU’s vital role as the academic partner of the project, contributing to its educational, cultural, and sustainability-oriented objectives. He expressed confidence that such initiatives would be expanded further in the coming years, supporting inclusive education, youth empowerment, and cross-border collaboration in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event concluded with remarks from partner organizations, an open discussion on project perspectives, and a Q&A session, reaffirming the commitment to sustainable youth engagement and international cooperation.
