On November 7, a training session titled “Intergenerational Differences and the New Psychology of Students (Generation Z)” was organized by the Career and Training Center of Baku Eurasian University. The session was conducted by the university’s psychologist Nusabe Guliyeva and brought together academic staff from the Faculties of Philology and Region Studies and Economics.
The training focused on promoting mental well-being, emotional resilience, and positive communication among educators and students through a better understanding of the psychological, social, and behavioral differences between generations. Special emphasis was placed on the learning preferences, motivation, and mental health needs of Generation Z, exploring how modern pedagogical approaches and inclusive teaching practices can enhance student engagement and academic performance.
Participants engaged in discussions on strategies to strengthen teacher–student relationships, foster psychological safety, and build an equitable, supportive, and sustainable educational environment.
A special focus of the session was inclusive teaching, training faculty to recognize and support students facing socio-economic barriers, helping to reduce inequality and ensure equal opportunities for all learners.
