The Sustainability Committee held a meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming World Urban Forum, which will take place in Baku this May. The session focused on the university’s planned participation in the global event and the role it can play in contributing to discussions on sustainable urban development.

During the meeting, committee members reviewed key themes of the forum, including sustainable cities, climate resilience, and inclusive urban growth. Emphasis was placed on aligning the university’s initiatives and research priorities with these themes to ensure meaningful engagement.

Participants highlighted the importance of representing the university on an international platform such as the World Urban Forum, noting that it provides a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, showcase ongoing sustainability efforts, and build collaborations with global partners.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to coordinate activities, prepare contributions, and actively engage in the forum to strengthen the university’s commitment to sustainability and urban innovation.
