From April 8 to 10, 2025, the “EURIE2025 – Eurasian Higher Education Summit,” organized by the Eurasian Universities Association (EURAS), was held in Istanbul, Turkey. This year, the summit was held for the tenth time and brought together over 2,000 international education leaders, academics, and industry representatives from 65 countries.

The main topics of the summit included the internationalization of higher education, its management, and the development of intercountry partnership relations. High-level international education officials also participated in the event.

Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) was also represented at the summit. The university has been a member of EURAS since 2025 and was invited to the EURIE2025 Higher Education Summit on this occasion. The university delegation was represented by the Rector, Associate Professor Sayavush Gasimov, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Associate Professor Sevda Rzayeva.

During the visit, the BAAU delegation discussed cooperation opportunities with various universities from multiple countries and signed memoranda of cooperation with several institutions.

It should be noted that BAAU considers the expansion of international relations and the creation of new opportunities for staff and students as one of its main priorities. In this regard, the EURIE 2025 Higher Education Summit served as an important platform for collaboration for the university.
