Two students from the Faculty of Regional Studies and Economics at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) have won a grant competition organized by the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dedicated to the "Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty."

Yusif Məmmədəli, a 4th-year student majoring in “Regional Studies (USA and Canada),” submitted the project titled “National Assembly Simulation: Return to Western Azerbaijan.” The project is dedicated to helping young people learn about the principles of statehood, parliamentary culture, and the legislative process through simulation, as well as promoting political literacy by facilitating discussions on the return to Western Azerbaijan.

Shakir Qarayev, a 4th-year student majoring in “International Relations,” presented the project “Simulation Conference Dedicated to Heydar Aliyev’s Legacy.” This project aims to expand young people’s knowledge of constitutional building, economic reforms, and energy policy, while developing their legal and public speaking skills through the simulation of historical decisions.

Both projects emphasize equitable pedagogy and knowledge-sharing, fostering a broad worldview among youth while promoting skills in economic and civic decision-making. Through this learning experience, students engage with concepts of sustainability, citizenship, and vocational and technical knowledge, supporting inclusive and accessible education aligned with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). By integrating place-based knowledge and discussions on governance and economic policy, these initiatives prepare students for responsible participation in society and future sustainable development.

The administration of BAAU congratulates both students on their success.
