BAAU and IZTECH launched the second phase of the “Anatolia–Caucasus Vision Bridge” project

Within the framework of the “Anatolia–Caucasus Vision Bridge” project, jointly organized by Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Baku City Main Department of Youth and Sports, the National Assembly of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, and the Izmir Institute of Technology, the second phase was held at BAAU.

The opening ceremony of the second phase of the “Anatolia–Caucasus Vision Bridge” project, jointly implemented within the framework of international cooperation between Baku Eurasian University (BAAU) and Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH), was held.The event took place at BAAU’s conference hall with the participation of the leadership and academic staff of both universities, as well as representatives from state institutions and non-governmental organizations.

In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Seyavush Gasimov, Rector of Baku Eurasian University, emphasized that the project would make a significant contribution to the academic, social, and cultural development of youth, as well as to the strengthening of cooperation between the universities.

Prof. Yusuf Baran, Rector of the Izmir Institute of Technology, stated that the project would serve as a cultural and scientific bridge between future generations and would further enhance inter-university relations.

Other speakers — including representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the National Assembly of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan, the Youth Development and Career Center, and the Union of Volunteer Organizations of Azerbaijan — highly appreciated the project’s role in developing youth leadership skills, promoting international cooperation, and encouraging active civic engagement.

The event continued with discussions on new joint project opportunities, scientific collaboration prospects, and exchange of experiences on sustainability practices between the two universities. The ceremony concluded with a group photo session, symbolizing the commitment to ongoing partnership and sustainable development.

During the cultural events within Anatolia–Caucasus Vision Bridge, the guests visited Baku Youth Center  and were informed about the projects of the Center, including social, environmental, and cultural programs involving young people.

Also, the delegation from IZTECH visited SummerFest, held in Shamakhi and organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The large-scale event brought together students, young professionals, and representatives from various educational institutions across the country to promote youth engagement, cultural exchange, and sustainable development values. During the event, the Rector of Baku Eurasian University delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of youth participation in national development, intercultural dialogue, and the strengthening of educational and social ties among universities.
