A large-scale training on "Inclusive Approaches in Education" was held at Baku Eurasian University (BAAU), featuring a presentation by Nurlana Safarli, the Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Disability Support Officer and Academic Advisor. This event emphasized the importance of ensuring equal educational opportunities for students of all ability levels, a critical issue in modern education systems.

The training addressed the core principles of inclusive education, introducing special methods for interacting with support students from underrepresented groups who require unique educational approaches. Topics covered included new behavioral guidelines for engaging with students facing challenges such as dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, autism, visual and hearing impairments, and intellectual disabilities.

During the training, support students actively participated and received valuable recommendations on applying inclusive approaches in the educational environment. Practical strategies for implementing inclusive education were also presented.

BAAU is dedicated to creating an inclusive educational environment and plans to continue collaborating with experts in this field. The university is committed to assisting anyone who encounters harassment, discrimination, or other obstacles to inclusion by offering resources and support services. To this end, BAAU will:

●      Provide easily accessible avenues for reporting instances of bias, harassment, or discrimination.

●      Offer private assistance and advocacy programs to individuals who have experienced harassment or discrimination.

●      Provide mental health services, counseling, and other resources to promote the overall well-being of the university community.
